MEDFORD, Ore. – Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW) is excited to break ground on a mortgage-free, handicap-accessible home for Marine Cpl. Jed Morgan at 9:00 a.m. local time on Monday, April 11 in Medford, Oregon.

Cpl. Morgan graduated from Liberty High School in 2008 and joined the United States Marine Corps the following year. Three months after marrying his wife, Anna, he was deployed to Afghanistan. On June 21, 2012, Cpl. Morgan was critically injured in an IED explosion. As a result, he lost both of his legs and all mobility in his dominant arm. Morgan spent the next 12 weeks at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he was honored with a Purple Heart for his service and sacrifice.

Despite his life-altering injuries, Cpl. Morgan has remained hopeful and positive. However, living in a home that is not handicap-accessible has made even the simplest everyday tasks extremely challenging. Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors is proud to team up with the White Heart Foundation, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, and S&B James Construction Management to provide Cpl. Morgan, his wife, and their young daughter a home that suits their needs.

Since its inception in 2009, JAH4WW has completed handicap-accessible homes for seven injured U.S. military veterans and is in the process of building three more in 2016, including home builds for Cpl. Morgan, Marine Cpl. Kyle Moser, and Navy Corpsman Thomas Henderson.
